About the Hall of Fame
No sport is complete without a place to list and pay tribute to its players, coaches and teams, the heroes of the game; The ones we admire.
The National Beep Baseball Association Hall of Fame was conceived to perform the following functions:
- To develop a system to award those who have made outstanding contributions to the game of Beep Baseball during their career, both on and off of the field of competition.
- To collect and store certain types of information on a long term basis about the game and the people who have contributed to the game, both on and off of the field of competition.
- Due to the nature of the information being kept, the Hall of Fame will reside only on the league’s website, with the physical archive to be maintained by the curator, Kevin Barrett. Once the physical location for the Hall of Fame is determined and established, the display will be available for public viewing.
In order to maintain accurate records, the following items will be required when submitting information from a tournament to the Hall of Fame committee:
- Team names and players rosters.
- List of all tournament players, both offense and defense as well as MVPs.
- List of pitcher and spotter statistics including award winners.
- Complete score sheets or box scores for all games played.
Data will be collected and accepted each year from the following sources:
- The National Beep Baseball Association World Series.
- Any tournament or Beep Baseball competition between or involving NBBA teams.
At the conclusion of any competition, the required information should be forwarded to the Hall of Fame committee as soon as possible. Please include a letter listing the dates and location of the tournament or competition, along with the required information listed above. Tournament information needs to be submitted to the NBBA Hall of Fame committee by September 30th of each year. If you possess any tournament information from past seasons pleas submit it to the Hall of Fame committee.

When nominating an individual, please feel free to submit any additional information possible.
Non-Competitor Honors
Many non-athletes usually defined as volunteers have been and are the backbone of the NBBA. Without their help and many varied contributions, the game of Beep Baseball and the NBBA would not be possible. There are many unsung heroes that deserve recognition who may never receive the NBBA’s highest honor, the Jim Quinn Award. However they deserve Hall of Fame recognition. This would include those who gave so much to the game prior to the inception of the Jim Quinn Award.
Non competitor categories are to be as follows:
- Executives – officers and board members.
- Volunteers – umpires, scorekeepers, base operators, drivers, technicians (invented, make and upkeep the bases balls etc), coaches, and others who help so much.
The Honor Roll of Outstanding Contributors
- All Honor Roll members will remain eligible for the Jim Quinn Award at a later date.
- After 3 years, any Jim Quinn Award nominee remaining on file with the Jim Quinn Committee who has not received the Jim Quinn Award, will be submitted to the Hall of Fame Committee for processing into the Outstanding Contributors Honor Roll section of the Hall of Fame. The member will also remain on file with the Jim Quinn Committee for future consideration for Jim Quinn Award election. At such time a member receives the Quinn Award, she/he will be transferred from the Honor roll to the Jim Quinn Award section of the Hall of Fame.
- Any nominations received by the Hall of Fame Committee for Honor Roll (non-athlete) will be shared with the Jim Quinn Committee for future Jim Quinn Award consideration.
- Jim Quinn Award recipients are automatically in the Hall of Fame and are not eligible for the honor roll section.
NBBA members are eligible for election to the hall both as a competitor and as a non-competitor.
Nomination and Election Process
- All NBBA members in good standing can nominate an individual for election to the Hall of Fame.
- Submit nominations in writing to the Hall of Fame Committee chairperson by September 30th.
- The Hall of Fame selection Committee will vote on candidates at the Spring board meeting.
- A 3/4 confirmation vote of the Hall of Fame Committee is required for induction into the Hall of Fame. Those receiving less than 3/4 will be on ballot next year.
- If more than maximum 7 receive 3/4 yes votes then the 7 with the most votes will be admitted.
- In the event of a tie, a runoff vote will be held and the extra nominees will be placed on the ballot for next year.
